1st Content Update (Ver 1.2.0)

Hello,
This is the development team of 《Witch & Council: The Card》.

Thank you for patiently waiting for the update.
The "Content Update" mentioned in our update plan has been implemented today.
Here are the key details:

1. New Character Added: "Student Council President Sybilla"

- You can now play as "Student Council President Sybilla," who was previously the boss of the Witch's Tower!
- Sybilla is a character who utilizes diverse strategies by switching between "Berserk Mode" and "Calm Mode."
- Add Sybilla to your team and explore new strategies!

2. New Chapter Added: "The Broken Dimension"

- The upper floors of the Witch's Tower, a previously unknown area, have been unlocked!
- Enjoy the Witch's Tower mode continuously up to the upper floors and challenge yourself to achieve higher scores!

3. Balance Adjustments
- The balance and battle patterns of certain monsters and bosses have been adjusted.
- Rewards for some events have been modified.
- Cards and relics of unacquired characters are no longer obtainable.

4. Others
- 15 new monsters have been added.
- New relics, events, and scrolls have been added.
- A new opening video for the mode has been added.
- Sound effects have been improved.

1. Combat Tempo Improvements

- Significant progress has been made on combat tempo improvements.
We are currently working on fixing bugs, and the update is expected to be released as early as February.
We sincerely apologize for the long wait.
- We will provide additional announcements as soon as the feature update is ready.

4th Hotfix Update (Ver 1.1.4)

Hello,
This is the development team of 《Witch and Council: The Card》.

Today, we released the 4th hotfix update.
Here are the key details:

1. Balance Adjustments
- Adjusted monster placements in Scenario Mode Chapters 2 and 3 to lower the difficulty.
- Reduced the laser attack damage of the Chapter 2 boss in Scenario Mode.
- Reduced the stats of Red Zombie (HP 93 → 76, Bandage trait 4 → 3).

2. Translation Improvements (2nd)
- Improved consistency in character names in Traditional Chinese.
- Made overall improvements to the Japanese and English translations.

While we strive to provide high-quality translations in English and Japanese, our small team does not include fluent developers in these languages, making thorough review challenging.
We appreciate your help in improving translation quality!
Please share any feedback about translations on our Discord or Steam Discussion channels.
We will actively incorporate your suggestions.

3. Added Features
- After clearing the scenario up to Chapter 3, players can now form their party from Chapter 1 when restarting the scenario.
- Tutorials will no longer appear when replaying the scenario after completing Chapter 3.
- In Rest Stages, players can now enhance/remove cards for all characters they own, including those in their current party.
- Fixed a situation where Sibylla could be targeted during phases where targeting was intended to be disabled.

4. Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the relic "Mirror of the Past" (reduces Elite monsters' HP by 20%) only worked once.
- Fixed an issue where the shield effect from Della’s "Soul Binding" (creates shields equal to its value each turn, including bosses) would disappear immediately after being applied.
- Fixed a bug where exclusive scrolls for unowned characters could be obtained in the Treasure Room.
- Fixed an issue on some maps where certain stages were not properly connected.

We are continuing to improve the game based on our previously shared development plans.
Although there are still areas for improvement, we would greatly appreciate it if you could leave positive reviews (or update your existing ones) on Steam to encourage us further!
We will do our best to develop a game that satisfies all of our players.

Difficulty (for the devs)

While I won't claim to be some sort of ultimate arbiter of such things, the witch's tower? Feels a bit hard. The story mode was a veritable cakewalk, but the Tower is absolutely brutal because it's basically launching you into pretty intense fights with starting kits and features minimal ability to retool even by the end. It's short length means you're really at the mercy of luck for good artifacts dropping since you won't see much chance to collect many/do much enhancing/remove many cards from your deck....

Game freezes at elite enemies.

Everytime I reach an elite enemy while having the Mirror of the Past, the game freezes. Its all moving and such, but the fight refuses to start and Im forced to restart the whole run

3rd delay? Hum.

This just popped across my "possible interests" for some reason; I'm guessing because it's a "generic rouguelike". Glancing down the subject matter of most of the posts and the length in between them with the added factor the the Dev saying "3rd delay" without even a Demo or EA of any kind... I'm going to have to say... "not a a good sign". Looks kinda "cute" if you factor that stuff in, but this'll be a Hard Pass for me.
