9/10 MUST play for RTS/SCI-FI fans

For me, definitely one of the best strategy games of the past year. I don’t know of any other game that combines RTS and 4X so perfectly. Thanks to the active pause and adjustable game speed, you can play as slowly or as quickly as you like. Zooming in reveals impressive graphics of space battles, which you can either watch unfold or tactically intervene in. The three main factions play very differently. With the extensive tech tree and numerous spaceship combinations, there are plenty of opportunities to experiment with builds. Despite this, the game doesn’t feel overloaded with mechanics, and the UI is exceptionally functional.

The store page says

"This game used AI to help quickly iterate through designs for some UI elements using our own artwork as a baseline. AI is also used to help translate the game."


But I highly doubt a human hand was involved, the UI images are the standard gross AI slush I've come to expect(with the same issues like weirdly bent objects and bad lighting).

A really ugly mark on what could otherwise be a very pretty game. Hire an artist for your game, Epic paid you enough exclusivity money for the year you were in their pocket to afford it. Gross business practice, not recommended.

The first sequel I've played in a long, long LONG time that actually delivers something better then what was originally there.

This is the sames sins Rebellion you know and love with new mechanics that encourage aggression (orbits, derelicts and exotics) discourage turtling (star-bases aren't a be all end all) and increases activity, there's so many new things to micro manage economy wise, no longer are you simply buying researches and mining stations in the mid game, you have ♥♥♥♥ to keep on top of even if you only have four planets.

If the modding tools are what I've heard them to be, this will be a game we'll be enjoying for many years to come.

chill space game. its real time but slow paced enough to basically be a 4x. can speed up and pause the game as needed. looks like it has a lot of potential with mods, looking forward to an EVE online or Expanse conversion

A perfect successor to Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion. Everything is fine-tuned from the original for an improved mix of real-time and grand strategy. Recommended.

Essentially nothing more than a beautification mod. It's prettier, sure. But with less diplomacy features, awful UI, and for some reason, horrendous optimisation. I've seen people on low end set ups working wonders with this game, but for me on a higher end set up I'm constantly dipping frames and freezing while zoomed in. I can't reccomend until it's had a cleanup and drops to a price that's decent.

Fun Game I loved it! I love the moving planets and the graphics are exellent!
