Over 2 hours with maybe an hour played. Lots of freezing resulting in crashes, fps all over the place.
5800, 16gb, 3060, 980ssd.
Ultra, high, medium, low, different rendering, dx11vs12, settings on & off. Doesn't make sense.
My profile is public so you can see other games I play and never had these issues so consistently, you've been warned.

I was going to finish the campaign before leaving a review but the game just crashed and I lost two hours of save data. Without comparing this to Dead Space, and keeping in mind I began on Hardcore mode, these are my thoughts and observations:
The combat is quick time based, you NEED to dodge. In the beginning it's a chore to fight but when you get your upgrades later on it's more bearable.
The animations and death scenes look really good but aren't seamless most of the time.
When you save, it saves progress from your last checkpoint and not where you clicked save.
Now comparing it to Dead Space:
Combat is primarily melee, no surgical dismemberment.

Buy it on sale.

This game is not as bad as people said. Sure it has some flaws, but it doesn't prevent me from enjoying it. As a fan of survival and action horror, I recommend it.
