Here's our very first update! We want to thank everyone for their love and support for the game, we heard you all loud and clear - so we have some fixes and changes for you.

- Fixed an issue with the Break Through quest getting blocked if the player had made an essence with the Acidic property before the appropriate objective appeared.
- Fixed an issue with the Inelmo's Playground quest getting blocked if the player has talked with Wrae during the Playground's construction.
NOTE: The fixes above are retroactive, which means that loading a save affected by any of those two issues should progress the game properly.
- Fixed an issue with the Cultivation Problem quest progressing after destroying the wrong instance of Fulminalith Outcrop.

- Added 'Any' icon to Properties, which indicates that X amount of Tiles needed to obtain a Property can belong to any Family (be of any colour).

- Lowered Insight costs of constructing Furniture.

- Slightly reworked the movement system which should result in The Alchemist not getting stuck in the environment.

- Reworked the structures' placement system so the objects can now be placed closer to walls and each other.

- Fixed an issue with visible occlusion when the camera collided with rocks.

Welcome alchemists!

If you've seen our previous post you now know how to gather materials, so we're going to show you what comes next in The Last Alchemist!

We won't give too much away, you should still encounter surprises and fun puzzles along the way as well as additional tools and activities, but we are going to show you some basics!

Say, one day, you're walking around the beautiful mountains and this stubborn pile of rocks is in your way - you will need a formula that will break down this blocker to your path!

This is where your machines and tools come into play. For instance, some constructions can help you break down the materials you gather into essences or help you forge new essences and you can use tools like the sprayer to spray these and help you break the rocks.

To build new constructions you'll need to gather the right resources and then place a blueprint - once all the ingredients are in place you must wait for the construction to finish and then 🎉 you have a new machine!

In this case, using the grinder you just built, you can extract the essence from materials you've gathered and then with the fusion machine you can create a new, fused essence that has the quality of both materials to help you break down the stone.

Once you have the essence you need, you must now find away to get this all over the pesky rocks!

However your eyes and hands aren't what they used to be and tools may be too difficult for you to construct now, but have no fear - Hapalo is here to help! The ingenious Agari inventor will use their forge to help you on your journey!

Bring them the required materials and you'll have a new tool in no time! Now you can go and deal with those rocks and continue down the path!

As you progress, the solutions you need may be more challenging to produce and they might force you to venture out further or use new tools, come up with new solutions, but you'll find some additional helping items around the observatory and by working together with the Agari and using your constructions, you'll surely be able to conquer it all as The Last Alchemist!

Welcome alchemists!

We're continuing the series of sneak peeks with a little look at exploration in The Last Alchemist!

When you arrive at the Observatory after your years of travel and studies you'll find it a bit.. different than what you may remember. Some areas are in need of some love and might have even become inaccessible due to passage of time.

To help you unlock these areas you'll need to venture outside of the Observatory gates and investigate your surroundings for helpful materials.

Luckily, you'll find some items to help you on your journey - for instance, a trusty Magnifier, to closer investigate items around you and also a map to guide you!

Sometimes you'll even get hints from the Agari on the locations of materials you may need so make sure to keep them talking!

And don't worry, you won't have to remember where they all are because once you investigate a material with your trusty Magnifier, the location will be in your Encyclopedia so you can always refer back to it.

Once you're ready to go outside the gates, get your Magnifier ready to investigate the environment and then equip your Sickle to harvest the materials you need!

Bring it all home and get to building!

Today we're going to give you a little inside look at our Alchemist's new look and introduce you to two very important Agari neighbours!

The Alchemist

If you remember the Alchemist from our initial trailer, you might already notice a bit of a difference!

As the game progressed, everyone, from the Agari to the Alchemist, has received a bit of a glow up so we're excited for you to start playing and seeing them inside the world!

And, as you might already know from a previous post, the team have also been working on creating your mushroom friends, known as the Agari!

Today we want to introduce you to Hapalo and Enoki, two of the Agari you will meet early on in your adventures!

Hapalo

Hapalo is the resident researcher and blacksmith! They'll provide you with new tools and instruments, and support you in your search for a more efficient workshop.

Before finding their final form, Hapalo also went through various designs as you can see here:

Always excited about new constructions and inventions, Hapalo is the Agari to go to for guidance on your next step!

Enoki

A confident and talkative Agari, Enoki is ever curious and gladly accompanies you as you learn more about the world.

As Enoki shows off their knowledge of the world, they can come off as a bit of a know-it-all, but really it's just excitement as they share information with you!

Don't forget that you must work to earn the Agari's invaluable trust as you'll need it on your ongoing journey ahead.
