It looks and plays amazingly but it is so unbelievably hard with zero payoff and no progression other than some weak ass cosmetics and skins for dice. There's no leveling of characters so you never learn new abilities beyond the dozen or so that exist in the game. If you play a spell or ability it's gone for that level which would be fine if the second level wasn't ways an absolutely enormous map where you'll run out of cards before you're even 30% of the way through the level.

Crusader is absolutely useless. Can rarely attack and instead mostly just gains 1 "armor" which is essentially 1 HP every turn with a maximum of like 5 armor. Mages are almost just as useless. One or two AOE spells then you can do a zap for one damage then overcharge yourself so you can do three next turn. Hard pass. Bards? Lol give me a break..useless.

Would be an easy recommend if they had difficulty settings or some progression that unlocked different abilities. As it stands, huge waste of time. Looks amazing though.

Complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trash. Enjoy having a 1 in 6 chance to kill one of your own allies with every attack you make.

I highly enjoy this game, however, I do wish there was progression of some sort. Maybe a demeo 2 with characters that can develop. Not sure thats possible. I would say the game has about 30-48 hours of play time before things get a bit repetitive but still fun and a great game for VR and desktop.
