Underrated und underappreciated title in my opinion. It's still EA mind you so don't expect everything to work perfect or a complete main campaign. Also I don't know anything about the state of game before its big update but I don't agree with all those doom mongers in other comments.

The start is a bit of a slow burner. But the more the colony grew and the story began to move forward the more I enjoyed my settler life on a remote planet! The blend of 3D backgrounds with sprites is really charming (reminds me of those old PS1 RPGs but with better resolution). I like the characters and their artworks. But the stills need more variety. Only one artwork for every character isn't much to convey their emotions during their quests/interactions (room for improvement).

Also if you played Stardew Valley (or one of the clones) you know a bit what awaits you in terms of game mechanics. But there are differences. Wouldn't be surprised if some complaints stem from that because I relied too often on my knowledge from SV so I made a few mistakes in the beginning.

Here are a couple of things that might help you if you decide to play the game:

- Until the mine opens ores are quite limited so don't waste them
- Until terraforming kicks in to refill your water tank you have to destroy those íce crystals with your laser.
- The mine itself is just mine sweeper with levels. Your gust tool removes the gas threat, your spray tool cools down lava.
- There is no ore to make glass, you have to refine silicon (took me a while to realize it)
- I prefer pad controls but for the bug catching mini game they never worked for me. So I use the mouse instead.
- Fish catching was a bit confusing in the beginning. Your drone snaps fish to catch them. So try to memorize the snap reach/direction. The snap also has a cooldown.
- (Robo)chicken eat seeds of certain plants, (robo)cows eat plants (you can look those things up in their respective log data)
- You get animal goods (milk, meat) by interacting with the animals (keep an eye out for the exclamation mark).
- you can save anytime. But since load/save are the same option I happen to load instead of save a file when I was too much in a hurry. Maybe just me, still wanted to mention it.

I really hope more people give the game a chance because it deserves it.

Great game, with frequent updates. Can't wait to continue, Act 2 just released!
