I'm somewhat new to this game and I've been really struggling on the Purple Tear fight, does anyone have any tips for her fight?

Struggled to understand the early parts of this game and its radical change from Lobotomy Corp. but I slowly got accustomed to combat over time. Now at Urban Plague and I suddenly feel like I'm decades behind where I'm supposed to be? Cards don't do enough damage, I lose a lot of the dice roll duels, and Enemies hit in the double digits frequently while I only do maybe 8 damage a duel? Should I be using certain cards over others, despite the damage types? I feel like I'm getting more and more confused....

They haven't even lost a single fight so far. Why do they still lack confidence even when they have like 50 Ws and 0 Ls on their track record?
