Bought it just recently due to the sale and have fallen in love with it. Took a few tries to get the hang of things (Though, that's my fault for sticking with Weaver as my first pick), The aspect seem really fun and it seems like I have A LOT of things to unlock still. What's all the fuss about?...

Apologies if a really naive question: I saw a few negative reviews citing that the developers had closed the book on further development of the game (no pun intended)... but given 1.0 was launched back in April: Am I correct in my understanding that the game is very much in a 'complete' enough state, and we simply won't be getting further tinkering/DLC? Whilst I appreciate the devs and fans possibly hoped for more... it's not like this a half-finished early access that's been hurriedly wrapped up?...

On the discord the dev team announced that the shiny shoe team has decided to no longer continue ongoing support for the game citing insufficient sales to continue the project. The team says that they plan to keep servers running for the foreseeable future and continue to discount the game to a lower and lower price but not release any new content for the foreseeable future as well. I like the game but one thing that is definitely super unbalanced are the debuffs. Why would you *ever* pick "on turn end, enemies gain 25% attack boost"? That's insane. Meanwhile there is a debuff where I get 1 (ONE) dmg when I pick up an orb. Well obviously that's practically nothing while the other one can be game ending after just a few turns, especially on boss battles it quickly becomes impossible. The same goes for those resistence per turn and the "pacifism: reduced damage per turn" for the player....

Still pretty early and have a quick question: Does this game have any real forward progression or is it just sideways progression? i.e. Hades has forward progression with the mirror, and Binding of Isaac only has sideways progression.
